Twenty-six (26) Bataeño World War ll veterans will each receive PhP 15k and other benefits from the Provincial Government of Bataan with the enactment of Provincial Ordinance no. 3, An Ordinance Declaring Living Bataeño World War ll Veterans as Living Treasures and Symbols of Courage, Bravery and Sacrifice and Institutionalizing the Benefits accorded to them by the Provincial Government of Bataan.

Said Ordinance authored by Board Member, Atty Jomar Gaza and sponsored by BM Margarita Roque, as mentioned in Article XVII of Sec. 7 of the Constitution states that, the State shall provide immediate and adequate care benefits to war veterans.

These 26 Bataeño WWII veterans are already in the twilight years of their lives, so it is deemed proper to pay them tribute for their bravery and sacrifice during World War II.

Benefits which will be accorded to their heroic acts are as follows; for living veterans, they will receive rice subsidy plus 3k pesos, three times a year; for living espouse of deceased veterans- rice subsidy plus 1, 500, 3 times a year; cash assistance of 15K yearly on the occasion of Araw ng Kagitingan (for living veterans); medicine subsidy for living veterans, depending on the actual need but not exceeding five thousand pesos, every month ( subject to the availability of funds) and prioritization for all living veterans of WW II, in accessing health care, financial assistance and other applicable services, with the PSWDO as the implementing arm of the Provincial Government of Bataan.
